New York and More New York

Keeping with this momentum, I got back from Charlotte and spent one night at home before heading off to New York City for two events in two days. I met up with my son Friday morning and we headed into the city. We got to our first location a few hours early, so we used our extra time to explore the extraordinary New York Public Library.

After perusing the collection of photography books, we headed back to the Andaz Hotel for the Duke University Alumni Reunion. This was the first time the Duke Alumni Association planned a reunion outside of their home in North Carolina, and I was excited to be there and help them celebrate. With my son assisting to keep the crowd entertained, I drew live digital caricatures for 3 hours.

After a good night’s rest, JT and I grabbed a good breakfast and made our way to the Sunnydale Country Club in Scarsdale, NY to draw more digital caricatures. Creating special memories for Sarah at her Bat Mitzvah was a lot of fun and JT really had a blast keeping the guests entertained.
