It’s always fun to work at family events. The joy and love is so infectious and a nice change from the hectic pace of corporate events and industry conventions. Following my short break after returning from Atlanta, I headed off to Stamford, CT for a Mitzvah at the beautiful Sheraton Hotel. The family and friends of the guest of honor loved having their caricatures created and all came together for me to draw and watch me in action. I stayed the night at the hotel and headed home for a few days rest before my next event.
A few days later, I headed back up north to New Rochelle, NY to create couples portraits at a wedding. I met up with a fellow artist and we were drawing nonstop for nearly 6 hours (originally 4 hour event). It may have been hard work, but nothing can compare to the happiness and love you find at a wedding. That kind of positive energy really feeds creativity and keeps my hands moving.
So now, it’s time to take a few days to get all the arrangements together for Easter with my own family. May you all have a blessed holiday!
